Rescue and rebuild

Picking up a project that stalled, working out what is salvageable, and finishing it.

Why this comes up

It is the most common story we hear: money spent, a repository handed over, and nothing in production. Sometimes the work is sound and the delivery failed. Sometimes it is the other way round.

Either way you need an answer to one question before spending anything more, and the previous vendor is not the one to ask.

WHAT THE WORK IS

Work out what you have

  • Read the codebase and say plainly what is finished, what is scaffolding and what is broken
  • Check whether the data model will survive contact with real volume
  • Find the things that will fail an audit later: secrets in the repository, no backups, no access control

Then finish it

  • Keep what is sound, rewrite what is not, and tell you which is which
  • Get something into production early, so progress stops being a status report
  • Take over the infrastructure properly, in accounts you own

What you get

  • A written assessment you can act on, including the option of stopping
  • A cost to finish, separated from a cost to rebuild
  • The project in production, under your own accounts

Right when

You have paid for something that never shipped.

Wrong when

You want us to confirm a decision you have already made. We may not.

The rest of what we do

IT STARTS WITH THE AUDIT.

Free, and it ends with an honest read on whether you need us. That is the only commitment to make right now.
